Abstract
Vocabulary is crucial, especially for learners who considered English as a Foreign Language (Lewis, 2000, p.132). In order to meet learners’ expectations in learning language, language proficiency could be counted on the vocabulary acquisition for foreign language learning. In addition, many students are facing difficulty in learning English both vocabulary and grammatical structure. Therefore, in order to provide helpful suggestions for instructors and learners, the collocation errors, especially verb collocation, will be investigated among learner’s writing to explore the collocation competence and vocabulary acquisition of them. This study aims to investigate the types and frequency in English verb collocational errors in Thai EFL learners’ writing.
